<p><strong>Service Manager needed in East London Paying £31.19 per hr ref 133010</strong></p>
<p><strong>Full time hours on a temporary basis</strong> </p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of a broad range of environmental services, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Street and estate cleansing services</li>
<li>Refuse and recycling collection services</li>
<li>Waste management and commercial waste operations</li>
<li>Graffiti removal and public realm maintenance</li>
<li>Gulley cleansing and flood prevention activities</li>
<li>Market cleansing operations</li>
<li>Winter maintenance services, including gritting and snow response</li>
<li>Oversight of waste transfer station operations</li>
</ul>
<p>In addition, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead, motivate, and manage a large operational workforce of up to 150 employees through Supervisors and an Assistant Service Manager.</li>
<li>Ensure services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with performance standards, service objectives, and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.</li>
<li>Monitor operational performance through the effective use of management information, KPIs, and performance reporting.</li>
<li>Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure value for money and operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and operational procedures.</li>
<li>Investigate and address service failures, implementing sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.</li>
<li>Build strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, partner organisations, and local businesses.</li>
</ul>
