The athletic training services include: injury or illness prevention programs; evaluation, management, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries or illness sustained during physical activity; and giving emergency care or first aid for an injury or illness sustained while participating in physical activity. The Licensed Athletic Trainer II participates in other department activities designed to enhance patient/athlete care and programs. In addition, demonstrates advanced athletic training skills and is involved in program development, staff education and student supervision. Also demonstrates emerging leadership skills and mentors department staff. Other duties as assigned. </font></font></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:1.6rem"><b>EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: </b></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:1.6rem;font-weight:400">A minimum of two years of experience meeting requirements of Level I responsibilities as determined by interview and assessment. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:1.6rem"><b>EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: </b></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:1.6rem;font-weight:400">Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited Athletic Training program or a related field is required. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:1.6rem"><b>SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: </b></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:1.6rem;font-weight:400">Must be proficient at all LAT level 1 competencies, maintain productivity level and have the potential to take on additional responsibilities. May require clinical expertise in specific discipline. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:1.6rem"><b>LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: </b></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:1.6rem;font-weight:400">State of Wisconsin licensure as an Athletic Trainer is required. Certification as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC) is required.
