This individual will be a key contributor, providing essential accounting support for both the corporate and property levels. The role is critical in maintaining the accuracy of financial reporting, assisting with cash management, and contributing to the financial performance of the investment portfolio.</p> <p>Title: Senior Portfolio Accounting Associate<br /> Location: West Palm Beach, FL (on-site)<br /> Potential Compensation: $65,000 to 90,000 with competitive benefit package</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Property-Level Accounting<br /> • Record and reconcile tenant income, including rent payments, operating expense recoveries, and other lease-related revenue.<br /> • Track and manage property operating expenses, taxes, and capital expenditures for commercial assets, calculating CAM charges and, insurance and leases.<br /> • Support the preparation of property-level financial statements and required investor reporting packages.<br /> • Track, prepare, and deliver tenant rental increase notices.<br /> • Assist with sales reporting and compliance related to percentage rent clauses.</p> <p>Corporate &amp; Portfolio Accounting<br /> • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and manage vendor invoicing.<br /> • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts for various legal entities.<br /> • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and execute the month-end close process across property and fund-level entities.</p> <p>Financial Analysis &amp; Reporting<br /> • Support the preparation of budgeting, forecasting, and periodic variance analysis for both corporate and property operations.<br /> • Contribute to cash flow reporting, rent roll reconciliations, and the tracking of key portfolio performance metrics.<br /> • Ensure all accounting practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control standards.<br /> • Assist with the annual external audit, tax filings, and other external financial reporting requirements.<br /> • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.</p> <p>Requirements and Qualifications<br /> • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA is preferred<br /> • 3–5 years experience, ideally a mix of public accounting and real estate investment accounting in a similar capacity<br /> • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with major accounting PM software like Yardi is required<br /> • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.<br /> • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.<br /> • A collaborative and entrepreneurial work culture with direct visibility to senior leadership.</p>
