Senior Data Engineer – Financial Data Platforms

Job Description Role Overview This is a high-impact Senior Data Engineer role focused on building and scaling financial data platforms that underpin analytics, reporting, and decision-making across a complex fintech environment. You’ll work with large, business-critical datasets, owning end-to-end data pipelines that support both operational and commercial use cases within financial services. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL Ingest, transform, and model complex financial datasets Partner closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams Improve data quality, reliability, and observability Contribute to cloud-based data architecture decisions Required Experience Strong experience with Python and SQL Background in data engineering within fintech or financial services Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Proven ETL / ELT pipeline development experience Solid understanding of data quality and governance principles Nice to Have Market or reference data exposure Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar tools Regulatory or reporting data knowledge
