About the Role

<p>Anderson Knight are delighted to be partnering with our long standing client to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to lead and develop the accounting function, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting while driving operational excellence across the business.</p> <p>The Role<br /> Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance function and play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving processes and supporting strategic decision-making.<br /> This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing finance team, influence change and help shape the future direction of the organisation’s financial operations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities<br /> • Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, along with statutory financial statements.<br /> • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, internal policies and all reporting deadlines.<br /> • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journal postings.<br /> • Manage the year-end audit process and act as the main point of contact for external auditors.<br /> • Supervise, mentor and develop members of the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.<br /> • Allocate workloads effectively, set priorities and ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information.<br /> • Support ongoing learning and professional development within the team.<br /> • Maintain and enhance internal financial controls, policies and procedures.<br /> • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen financial operations.<br /> • Drive automation initiatives, systems improvements and the adoption of digital finance tools.<br /> • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.<br /> • Monitor financial performance against budget, supporting effective cost control and resource allocation.<br /> • Provide meaningful financial analysis and insights to support wider business decision-making.<br /> •<br /> About You</p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:<br /> • Full professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA or equivalent).<br /> • Previous experience in a financial accounting or finance management role with supervisory responsibilities.<br /> • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting standards.<br /> • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.<br /> • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting and ERP systems.<br /> • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with experience driving process improvements and efficiencies.<br /> • Experience of systems implementation, automation or digital transformation projects would be advantageous.</p> <p>Why Apply?<br /> This is a fantastic opportunity to join an evolving organisation where you can make a genuine impact, lead positive change and further develop your career within a collaborative and supportive environment.</p> <p>If you are a motivated finance professional who enjoys improving processes, leading teams and delivering high-quality financial reporting, we would be delighted to hear from you.</p>
