About the Role

A public middle school in Yichang, Hubei province, is looking for a full-time ESL teacher. This is a stable, government-backed position with a predictable Monday-to-Friday schedule. You will teach students aged 12 to 15, with 22 teaching hours per week.

Contract runs from August 2026 to July 2027 (one academic year).

Requirements

• Native English speaker
• Bachelor's degree or above
• Middle school teaching experience is a plus, but not required

Benefits

• Monthly salary: 18,000 – 20,000 RMB
• Housing allowance: 2,000 RMB per month (enough for local rent)
• Two months off in winter and summer (half paid)
• Performance bonus: 10,000 RMB per year, Renewal bonus: 10,000 RMB
