Employee Relations Partner (12 Month FTC)Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + BenefitsLocation: Peterborough, Hybrid Working (10 office days per month (Wednesday fixed))Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term ContractBefore You Apply – To help you assess whether this opportunity is the right fit, we've outlined some of the key experience we are looking for. We're looking for someone who can confidently demonstrate experience in:Managing complex employee relations cases from start to finishNavigating employee relations matters in line with evolving employment legislationCoaching and influencing managers to build capability and embed best practiceWorking within a fast-paced, commercially focused environmentThe OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Partner to join their established HR team on a 12-month fixed term contract.This role has been created to support an increase in complex ER activity. You'll join a specialist Employee Relations function responsible for handling a diverse caseload, partnering closely with managers and senior stakeholders to achieve commercially sensible and people-focused outcomes.This is not a volume-based ER role. Cases are typically complex, often involving multiple stakeholders and requiring a balanced approach that considers both legal risk and employee experience.Alongside case management responsibilities, you'll play an important role in coaching managers, helping to improve capability and confidence across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of complex employee relations cases from initial referral through to resolutionLead on disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, sickness absence and workplace conflict mattersProvide practical, commercially focused advice to managers and stakeholdersCoach managers through ER processes, enabling better decision-making and stronger people management capabilitySupport organisational change projects, including consultation and implementation activitiesIdentify and manage risk, escalating matters where appropriateProduce high-quality documentation including; investigation reports, outcome letters and case summariesAnalyse case trends and identify opportunities for proactive intervention and manager educationSupport the delivery of ER-related training and guidance About YouYou'll be an experienced ER professional who enjoys navigating complexity and influencing outcomes through strong stakeholder relationships.You'll likely bring:Significant experience managing complex ER cases independentlyStrong knowledge of UK employment legislation and emerging legislative changesExperience advising and coaching managers at varying levels of seniorityThe confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision makingExcellent investigation, communication and report-writing skillsExperience supporting organisational change, consultation or restructuring activityCIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience What's On OfferSalary of £50,000 - £60,000Hybrid working model (10 office days per month)Collaborative and supportive HR team environmentOpportunity to work on genuinely complex ER mattersExposure to organisational change and business transformation activityExpenses covered for any occasional travel requirements This role would suit an ER specialist who enjoys complex case management, thrives on coaching managers and wants to be part of a business that places genuine emphasis on employee wellbeing and responsible people practices.
