About the Role
The Senior Systems and Applications Administrator is a technical leader responsible for the stability, modernization, and performance of cloud and on?prem enterprise infrastructure. This includes ERP platforms and applications that support critical academic and administrative operations across the entire system.
You will lead cloud operations, drive infrastructure projects, manage vendor relationships, mentor system administrators, and serve as a key technical escalation point.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud and Infrastructure Operations
Administer and optimize cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure)
Oversee infrastructure supporting enterprise applications such as PeopleSoft, Dynamic Forms, and QLess
Manage certificates, lifecycle tracking, access provisioning, and system availability
Coordinate with vendors using SRs, RFCs, and change management processes
Technical Project Leadership
Lead upgrades, migrations, audits, and infrastructure initiatives
Direct SIT, UAT, and disaster recovery testing
Manage cross-functional communication and technical execution
Incident and Problem Management
Analyze complex multi-system issues and root causes
Coordinate incident response and technical troubleshooting
Produce RCAs and escalate unresolved issues appropriately
Maintain clear communication with technical and functional teams
Team Leadership
Supervise and support system administrators
Provide guidance, coaching, and skill development
Hold team members accountable for operational excellence
Ideal Technical Background
7+ years of enterprise application or infrastructure administration
Experience with OCI, AWS, and/or Azure
Cloud certifications (AWS, OCI, Azure)
Experience managing or supporting Oracle SaaS or PeopleSoft applications
Knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture (load balancing, WAF, app/web servers, schedulers, databases)
Experience with incident response and enterprise change management
Strong understanding of security and cybersecurity best practices
Work Details
Hybrid role with required onsite days (subject to change)
Must live in or relocate to the Phoenix area within six months
Occasional after-hours or weekend support
