About the Role

<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p> <p>We are working with a growing business that is looking to appoint a Junior Power BI / Data Administrator to support the effective management, reporting and analysis of business data.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their data career who has a genuine interest in Power BI, Excel and data analysis, and is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive environment.</p> <p>The role will involve maintaining accurate data, producing reports and dashboards, supporting users and helping the wider business make better use of its data.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Maintaining and updating company databases and data records.</li> <li>Supporting the creation and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.</li> <li>Importing, cleansing and validating data from different sources.</li> <li>Producing regular management information and operational reports.</li> <li>Using Excel to analyse data and identify trends, discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.</li> <li>Ensuring data is accurate, consistent and kept up to date.</li> <li>Responding to requests for reports and information from internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Supporting the development of new Power BI reporting as the business requirements evolve.</li> <li>Investigating data issues and working with colleagues to resolve them.</li> <li>Maintaining appropriate documentation around reports, data sources and processes.</li> <li>Providing general administrative support around data and reporting activities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical and naturally curious about data.</p> <p>You do not need to be an experienced Power BI developer. The most important thing is that you have a good understanding of Excel, an interest in data and the enthusiasm to develop your Power BI skills.</p> <p>You will ideally have:</p> <ul> <li>Some experience using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data manipulation.</li> <li>An interest in or some exposure to Power BI.</li> <li>Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with data.</li> <li>The ability to identify errors and inconsistencies within information.</li> <li>Good organisational and administrative skills.</li> <li>The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.</li> <li>A willingness to learn new systems and technologies.</li> <li>A practical approach to problem solving.</li> </ul> <p>Any experience with Power Query, SQL, databases, data visualisation or other reporting tools would be advantageous, but is not essential.</p> <p>What is on Offer?</p> <p>This is a good opportunity to join an established business in a role where you will be able to develop your technical knowledge and gain further experience across Power BI, data analysis and business reporting.</p> <p>The successful candidate will receive appropriate training and support, with the potential to develop the role as your experience and technical capability grows.</p>
