Senior Software Engineer Apply now » Date: 9 Mar 2026 Location: PM, PL Company: Fineos Corporation Summary FINEOS is looking for a creative software engineer with excellent design and coding skills.  You will have worked on an agile team and will enjoy working within the latest CI frameworks to create tested software products.  You will get training on latest industry practices, to further develop your skills, along with exposure to cloud technologies. Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.) Work collaboratively on a cross functional team to build cloud ready enterprise product Design and work on front-end web UIs with a strong UX focus Design, develop and test back end applications (Java) and REST APIs Coach and mentor other team members Identify and drive improvements and innovations Champion best practice to deliver secure, scalable and reliable services and interfaces   Education and/or Experience 5+ years of Java programming experience Experience in developing, debugging and troubleshooting web applications A relevant third level qualification or equivalent commercial experience in software engineering   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent technical problem-solving capabilities Dedication to learning and sharing new technologies and skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (SAF(e)) Excellent communication skills Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability Understanding of Continuous Integration and release cycle patterns Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance work processes and support informed decision-making is essential, with strict adherence to the organisation’s security, data protection, and ethical use policies.   Technical Skills Java, JEE, REST, SOAP ORM Application servers - experience with one or more of JBoss, Tomcat Well versed with CI toolkit such as GIT, Gradle, Jenkins SQL and data model design for RDBMS, ideally Oracle It is advantageous to have experience in the following: React JS and other front end technologies such as Javascript, AJAX, CSS, HTML5, Typescript JS test frameworks –Jest, Cypress, Jasmine Multi-platform skills (Linux/Unix/Windows, Docker containerization, IaC) Cloud technologies, in particular AWS   Language Skills Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.   Travel Requirements This position may require adhoc occasional travel.   Our Offer Employment type: Contract of Employment (UoP) Work from home with opportunity for occasional days in the office defined by your team charter Tax-deductible cost due to creative work (PKUP) Business laptop and home office setup allowance Possibility to arrange for your start of working day in accordance with team work schedule Work in multinational environment, with great team of professionals on building FINEOS software platform for life, accident and health insurance Support in building professional skills through internal and external training Convenient office location, close to almost everywhere in TriCity - Gdansk Wrzeszcz, Garnizon Opportunities to travel and work in other locations.
