Accounting Manager-Costpoint

Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Accounting Manager for a Department of Defense (DoD) government contractor.  We need an experienced <b>Accounting Manager</b> to oversee full-cycle general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with government contracting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in <b>Costpoint</b> and a proven track record in the government contracting industry.<br /> <br /> <b>Key Responsibilities:</b> <ul> <li>Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other government regulations.</li> <li>Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed.</li> <li>Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and audit schedules.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.</li> <li>Drive process improvements and system enhancements, including Costpoint optimization.</li> </ul> <b>Qualifications:</b> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).</li> <li><b>Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in the government contracting industry.</b></li> <li><b>Strong Costpoint experience required; Costpoint implementation experience a plus.</b></li> <li>In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and GAAP compliance.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li> </ul> <div><br /> IND123</div>
