Are you a seasoned professional with a knack for precision, planning, and problem-solving? Join our team as a Project Controls Specialist: IV and play a pivotal role in shaping major construction projects from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-stakes projects with a collaborative team, combining your analytical skills with hands-on project management to deliver results that matter.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Construction industry, with a proven track record in project controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in cost control, including developing and managing project budgets, tracking commitments, invoices, and identifying savings opportunities.
- Proficiency in progress measurement, earned value management (EVM), KPI dashboards, and variance analysis.
- Solid experience in change and risk management—evaluating scope changes, maintaining risk registers, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Ability to support contract and commercial performance, including claims evaluation and payment milestone verification.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the capacity to prepare detailed reports and presentations.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience using project management software tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Knowledge of contractor and subcontractor performance metrics.
- Certification in project controls, risk management, or related fields.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of direct experience in oil and gas construction projects, demonstrating leadership in project controls functions.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to spend 2-3 days per week onsite at the GPLNG site in Sabine Pass; the rest can be from home or at the Beaumont office.
- Project duration from July 2026 through June 2027.
