About the Role
Our client is a long‑established, specialist family law firm with an excellent reputation across Central London and Middlesex. Known for their expertise in public law children matters and private family law, they are consistently recognised as “experts in their field” by clients and leading legal directories.
They are now seeking a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic Public Law Children Solicitor to join their established care team in Middlesex. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high‑quality, meaningful public law children matters within a supportive and well‑respected department.
About the Role
You will manage a varied caseload of public law children matters, ranging from pre‑proceedings/PLO through to complex care proceedings, including:
- Non‑accidental injuries
- Rare medical conditions
- Sexual abuse
- Neglect
You will undertake your own advocacy, with counsel instructed only on the most complex care proceedings, and you will also support colleagues by covering hearings across Guildford, Middlesex and West London. Strong advocacy skills and confidence in handling care proceedings are essential, as the role offers regular opportunities to develop and showcase your advocacy experience.
Alongside your casework, you will contribute to business development through local networking and marketing, helping to strengthen the team’s presence in the area.
