Our partner who are a leading food manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineering & Facilities Manager to lead engineering, facilities and maintenance operations within a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong engineering leader who thrives in operational environments and enjoys driving performance, reliability, continuous improvement and team development.

The Opportunity:
Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will take full responsibility for engineering and facilities performance across the site, ensuring all assets are maintained safely, efficiently and reliably to support operational excellence.

You’ll lead both preventative and reactive maintenance strategies, manage budgets and projects, and play a key role in driving site performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role would suit someone who enjoys balancing leadership with hands-on operational delivery and who can build strong relationships across production, supply chain and senior leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering and facilities activities across a 24/7 manufacturing operation
• Manage engineering budgets to deliver agreed plant performance and cost targets
• Develop and lead engineering teams while managing external contractors where required
• Drive preventative maintenance strategies to maximise plant availability and reliability
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and company Health & Safety requirements
• Lead capital projects from feasibility through to successful commissioning
• Manage utilities performance, efficiency improvements and site services
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, standards and engineering best practice
• Ensure spare parts and consumables are effectively managed to support operational performance

About You:
We are looking for an engaging and resilient engineering leader with experience operating within a fast-paced Food Manufacturing environment this is essential.

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in a senior engineering leadership role within food manufacturing, this is essential
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Experience leading maintenance, facilities and capital projects
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety (preferred)
• Relevant engineering qualification and/or equivalent experience
