About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Specialist to work with early years and primary-aged pupils in a specialist SEN school in Rugby. This full-time role starts in September 2026 and continues until July 2027, providing rewarding opportunities to support children during the early stages of their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.
- Deliver engaging learning activities tailored to individual abilities.
- Encourage communication, play, and social interaction.
- Support sensory regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents.
- Track progress and contribute to individual support plans.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with young children with SEN.
- Knowledge of autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing, or developmental delay.
- Calm, nurturing, and flexible approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
- Passion for supporting children to reach their full potential.
