A secondary school in Crawley is looking for a confident and committed Secondary Teacher to join their team. The school is seeking someone who can deliver engaging lessons, maintain clear classroom routines, and support students in making strong progress across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This Secondary Teacher role would suit someone who enjoys working with young people and can bring a calm, organised, and professional approach to the classroom. The school has a supportive staff team in place and is looking for a teacher who can build positive relationships quickly while maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour.
As a Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering planned lessons, supporting student progress, managing behaviour in line with school policy, and helping to create a focused and inclusive learning environment.
Pay rate:
Per day £140 – £289.97 depending on experience, qualifications, and pay scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Supporting students with academic progress and confidence
Managing classroom behaviour positively and consistently
Adapting teaching to meet different learning needs
Working closely with department staff and pastoral teams
Marking work and providing feedback where required
Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status or relevant secondary teaching experience
Experience working with young people in a secondary school setting
Strong classroom management skills
A professional, reliable, and proactive approach
Good communication and organisation skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
