Role Details

The Skip Recovery Agent plays a key role in minimizing financial losses by supporting vehicle recovery and post-charge-off account resolution. This position partners with customers, recovery vendors, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to maximize recoveries while delivering professional customer service and ensuring timely account resolution.

Key Responsibilities
- Assign post-charge-off accounts to skip tracing and recovery vendors based on established performance guidelines and monitor vendor activity to ensure recovery objectives are met.
- Perform skip tracing research, verify customer and account information, and make outbound calls to locate customers and improve recovery outcomes.
- Handle inbound customer calls regarding payments, payoffs, voluntary vehicle surrender, reinstatement, and redemption options while documenting account activity.
- Respond to emails and inquiries from internal teams, recovery vendors, and customers regarding account status and recovery efforts.
- Support legal recovery efforts by identifying accounts appropriate for Replevin or other legal actions and coordinating with agency and attorney partners.
- Verify posted funds and create redemption cases for Asset Recovery processing and customer communication.
- Research disputed accounts and escalate complex issues to management or external vendors as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications
• Experience handling collections, asset recovery, skip tracing, repossession support, or delinquent account servicing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive customer conversations professionally.
• Proficiency using computer systems to research accounts, document activity, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
