About the Role

<p><strong>Credit Controller, Rickmansworth, £23,000 to £28,000</strong></p> <p>My Client, a growing independent and boutique estate agency with a portfolio all over West London, are seeking a Credit Controller to joint their team in their Rickmansworth branch.</p> <p><strong>Fluency in Punjabi or Hindi is highly desired, as many of their clients and suppliers communicate in these languages.</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Credit Assessment: Assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analysing their financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories.</li> <li>Credit Policy Development: Developing and implementing credit policies and procedures to minimize credit risk while maximizing sales and cash flow.</li> <li>Invoicing: Issuing invoices to customers accurately and promptly, ensuring all necessary details are included.</li> <li>Payment Monitoring: Monitoring customer accounts for overdue payments and following up with customers via phone, email, or letters to secure payment within agreed terms.</li> <li>Dispute Resolution: Resolving any disputes or discrepancies regarding invoices or payments, collaborating with internal teams such as sales or customer service as needed.</li> <li>Cash Flow Management: Managing the company&#8217;s cash flow by ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and minimizing bad debt losses.</li> <li>Reporting: Providing regular reports to management on the status of outstanding debts, collections efforts, and any credit-related issues.</li> <li>Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers while still enforcing credit terms and policies.</li> <li>Legal Action: Initiating legal proceedings or engaging with debt collection agencies when necessary to recover outstanding debts.</li> <li>Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements in credit management and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Credit control experience or a numerical background</li> <li>Fluency in Hindi or Punjabi is highly desired</li> <li>Experience within the property industry is highly desirable</li> <li>Effective communication skills, attention to detail, financial acumen</li> <li>Firm but diplomatic approach are essential for success in this role</li> <li>Proficiency in using accounting software</li> <li>Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards </li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Details</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary</strong>: £23,000 to £28,000<br /> <strong>Required working hours:</strong> Office based Monday &#8211; Friday, 8am to 4pm</p> <p>Dove &amp; Hawk Property Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of permanent workers.
