About the role:

Justteachers is seeking an Autism Support Worker to join a vibrant specialist SEND school in the Preston area on a long-term basis.
The full-time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

The school is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where pupils with autism can thrive academically and socially, focusing on personalised learning and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism
• Assisting teachers in implementing tailored learning strategies and interventions
• Promoting communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting children with autism
• Proven experience working in an educational or care setting
• Strong knowledge of autism support strategies and communication techniques
• Two education or school-based references
