About the Role
Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work (CSW) Team in Southwark, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure that children thrive in a safe and supportive environment. Your expertise will help us to assess needs, provide interventions, and develop care plans tailored to individual circumstances.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other stakeholders.
Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with policy and legislation.
Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance professional development.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
Current registration with Social Work England.
Experience working in children's social work, preferably within a statutory setting.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with families and professionals.
