Fabrication Engineer – Fulltime
We are looking for a Fabrication Engineer who is challenged by complex engineering issues and wants to play a key role in leading projects within the offshore and heavy construction sectors. Are you ready to take on a central role in translating technical designs into practical solutions?
In this role, you will be the essential link between the design team and the work floor, ensuring that designs are executed safely, efficiently, and according to the highest quality standards. As a Fabrication Engineer, you’ll be part of an innovative team where your ideas and contributions will directly impact the success of projects. From design to realization, you will work on impressive and complex constructions.
Key Responsabilities
- Translate design drawings into detailed fabrication instructions
- Develop construction methods and establish logical construction sequences
- Create lifting procedures, including weight calculations, lifting plans, and safety checks
- Design temporary structures and supports, including all technical documentation
- Collaborate intensively with subcontractors to develop and validate load-out procedures
- Manage and maintain weight and center of gravity control
- Provide practical support to the production department and answer technical questions
- Work closely with project leaders to tackle technical challenges and improve feasibility
- Assist with the layout of the site and assembly halls
- Contribute to the development of new equipment and working methods
Skills & Experience
- A completed HBO (Bachelor’s) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a similar technical field
- Experience in a similar role within fabrication or construction
- Familiarity with CAD software and technical calculations
- Experience in offshore or heavy steel constructions is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, practical mindset, and solutions-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills and a real team player
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
