About the Role
Architect - Newcastle
(Anonymised: Large UK multi‑disciplinary design practice)
We're supporting a major UK design practice in growing their Newcastle studio with the addition of a skilled Architect. The team works across education, healthcare, masterplanning, regeneration, commercial and residential projects, offering the chance to contribute to varied, socially impactful work.
The studio is known for its collaborative ethos and commitment to sustainable, well‑considered design. Architecture, engineering and specialist disciplines integrate closely, giving you the chance to work within a genuinely multi‑disciplinary environment.
The Role
You'll work across all stages of the design process, from concept through to detailed design and delivery. This includes coordinating with consultants and contractors, contributing to project decisions, and developing key technical details. You will also support and mentor junior colleagues (Part I / Part II), reviewing work and contributing to a strong design culture.
What You'll Bring
RIBA Part 3 and ARB registration
Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methods
Experience across multiple sectors, ideally including education and healthcare
Ability to develop technical details and deliver consistent project quality
Comfortable working directly with clients, contractors and stakeholder teams
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (essential)
