About the role: Justteachers is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant specialist school in the Preston area on a long‑term basis. The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026 , with shortlisting currently taking place. The school provides a highly supportive and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of complex needs, including SEND and SEMH. Staff work collaboratively to ensure each learner receives personalised support to help them engage, progress and achieve positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Providing targeted support to pupils with specialist needs on a 1:1 and small‑group basis Assisting teachers in delivering highly differentiated learning activities Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour and wellbeing using positive, relationship‑based approaches Pre-requisites: Relevant qualifications or specialist experience supporting pupils with additional needs Proven experience working within a SEND, SEMH or specialist educational setting Strong knowledge of inclusive strategies, behaviour support and safeguarding Two education or school‑based references If you are interested in this role, please apply via the form below.
