Accounts Manager

The One Group are recruiting for a Finance Supervisor to join a highly reputable organisation based in Cambridge on a full time, 6 month fixed term contract. This role will see you working on a hybrid basis and reporting directly into the Finance Manager.Responsibilities:Day-to-day query resolution up to (but not limited to) supporting the month-end and year-end processes.Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring budget holders manage their resources efficiently and effectively.Discuss budget details with the Finance Manager and other senior staff, identify and explain potential problems e.g. forecast overspends and offer solutions.Explain financially technical information to non-financial staff.Liaise with Principal Investigators regarding their budgets, forecasts for expenditure and any pipeline grant applications.Support research grant applications when required, including costing projects/grants for senior staff.Assist with the collection of debts, dealing with queries as soon as they arise.Identify areas for process improvements within the finance team and assist with their implementation.Line Management of 2-3 staff, setting priorities and allocating tasks.Requirements:AAT Level 4 minimum (or equivalent)Strong Excel & Microsoft package skillsExperience managing general ledger & financial processesAvailable immediately to interview and startBenefits:£34,000-£39,500 per annumHybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days from home)33 days holiday + bank holidaysPotential for extensionsIf you are interested in this role and would like more information, please apply now and speak with Katherine Pearl at The One Group.
