About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate CIC Social Worker to join our team in Durham. In this role, you will work with children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with families and other professionals to provide high-quality support. Your expertise will be vital in advocating for the best interests of children and ensuring they receive the resources they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of children and families.
Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Providing direct support and guidance to children in care and their families.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
Current registration with Social Work England.
Experience working with children in care or similar settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child welfare.
