KS1 Teaching Assistant

About the role:

Justteachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to provide whole-class support in a KS1 setting at a primary school in Coventry. This full-time role will start in September 2026 and will run for the full academic year.

The school is a large, diverse primary setting based in an urban area. It is known for its inclusive ethos and strong focus on pastoral care, supporting pupils from a wide range of backgrounds. The school is well-resourced, with a dedicated leadership team and a commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of engaging KS1 lessons alongside the class teacher
• Assist pupils with early reading, writing, and numeracy development
• Help maintain a positive and structured classroom environment

Pre-requisites:

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience in an educational or care setting.
• Proven experience working with children in a school, nursery or relevant setting (That can be referenced).
• Two professional references from an educational or care background.
