They are now seeking an
Accounts Assistant to join their Bristol team and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the finance function. This is a full time, Monday – Friday role with a salary of up to £30,000 DOE. Post probation some home working will also be available.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the Head of Group Finance, you’ll become a trusted part of the accounts team ensuring accurate financial processing, maintaining strong client and insurer relationships, and helping the business deliver a seamless service.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and responding to shared finance inboxes
- Setting up, updating and managing client account finance applications from initial receipt through to completion
- Checking and reconciling all incoming payments, ensuring client account records remain accurate and up to date
- Processing and balancing insurer statements
- Preparing client account payment runs
- Calculating, recording and reconciling company commission and fee income
- Following up on outstanding debts and completing reconciliation work
- Maintaining accurate and current records for both clients and insurers
- Responding promptly and accurately to finance‑related queries
- Supporting the wider finance team with additional tasks as required
What You’ll Bring
- Experience within Accounts and/or an Insurance‑related environment (minimum 2 years)
- AAT or willing to work towards
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Confidence communicating with clients, insurers and internal teams
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support continuous improvement
