Quality Manager | £40,000 - £45,000 | Hitchin If you’re a QA leader who thrives on raising standards, spotting risks early and keeping a site audit-ready at all times, this one will grab your attention. This business needs someone who can strengthen its technical backbone and embed a culture of food safety, quality and continuous improvement. As QA Manager, you’ll protect product integrity, own the QMS and lead the teams that keep everything safe, legal and customer-ready. You’ll take charge of internal audits, HACCP, external audit management and all site compliance activities, making sure hygiene, pest control and GMP never slip. You’ll oversee supplier performance, testing programmes, environmental monitoring and allergen controls, reacting quickly and decisively when issues arise. On the leadership front, you’ll guide QA, lab, hygiene and compliance teams, building capability and driving quality awareness across the site while acting as the key technical contact for customers and regulators. What You’ll Bring Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field Strong experience in food manufacturing quality management In-depth understanding of BRCGS, HACCP and retailer standards Confident managing non-conformances, corrective actions and certification Strong leadership skills, with an ability to influence across departments We are shortlisting right now, so please apply right away!
