About the Role

Currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer on a permanent staff basis for a global drilling and well services company.

    

You will be supporting ongoing engineering activities within their P&A Applications group, and this role will focus on electrical design and interfacing activities associated with their compact workover rig programme, supporting well P&A operations. 

            

The Electrical Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Electrical system design for drilling and well intervention equipment.
  • Development of electrical architecture including power generation systems.
  • Equipment interfacing and system integration activities.
  • Supporting design reviews and technical documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with offshore standards and UKCS regulatory requirements.
  • Providing engineering support to the compact workover rig programme.

                   

Experience / Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (or similar discipline).
  • Strong background in electrical system design for drilling or well intervention equipment.
  • System integration and interface management experience.
  • Knowledge of offshore electrical standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Electrical design and schematic development experience.
  • Power distribution and generation system knowledge.

                

Desirable:

  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
  • Current / valid offshore certification.
  • Experience with workover rigs and/or similar offshore drilling assets.
  • Experience in supporting P&A operations.
  • Previous offshore project exposure.
