About the Role
<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3>
<ul>

<p>Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to survey staff and field crews.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Prepare and review CAD drawings, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Boundary Surveys</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Topographic Maps</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>ALTA/NSPS Surveys</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Land Title Surveys</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>As-Built Surveys</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Subdivision Maps</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Other survey-related documents</p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Process project submittals with city, county, and regulatory agencies.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Coordinate construction bid document preparation and contract administration activities.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and public agencies.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Perform boundary analysis, closure calculations, legal descriptions, and exhibit preparation.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support construction staking calculations and survey data processing.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Required Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Minimum of five (5) years of surveying and mapping experience, preferably supporting private land development and public works projects.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Minimum of three (3) years of management or supervisory experience.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong understanding of California surveying regulations, municipal standards, and agency procedures.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience preparing construction staking calculations and construction cost estimates.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of construction sequencing, site constraints, and regulatory requirements.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience preparing legal descriptions, boundary analyses, and survey exhibits.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Professional Land Surveyor certification</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Technical Skills:</h3>
<ul>

<p>AutoCAD Civil 3D</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Trimble Business Center</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Bluebeam</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Microsoft Office Suite</p>

<h3>Supervisory Responsibilities:</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Direct and coordinate daily activities of field crews.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with engineers, survey analysts, contractors, and clients.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and project workload distribution.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Monitor project budgets, contract hours, and scope management.</p>
</li>
