Summary:
This role has responsibility for planning of production for their assigned areas. Analyzes inventory levels, production capacity, and product demand to determine the amount of finished product that will be produced. Determines the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast. Works with other departments to determine optimal inventory levels.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Works with Universal’s customer order center team to ensure that all orders are captured and processed accurately.
- Participates in sales and operations planning meetings to clarify machine configurations, locational builds, options to be included in those builds, then loads the captured information into SAP in order to drive material acquisition.
- Analyzes data pertaining to historical customer usage patterns within specific machine configurations to anticipate future customer demands.
- Coordinates with manufacturing to establish a build sequence based on combinations of required shipping dates, available staffing, and/or material availability.
- Issues production orders for manufacturing for each particular machine build.
- Monitors production build process, and may issue modifications to production orders and/or associated paperwork, as required.
- May be assigned additional responsibilities if required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, or a related field with 2+ years of relative experience, strongly preferred.
- In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree; Associate Degree with 4+ years of relative experience or HS Diploma with 6+ years of relative experience.
- Proficiency in SAP strongly preferred. (Similar ERP experience considered)
- Strong proficiency in MS office applications.
Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality:
- Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.
Physical Demands:
- Requires the ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
- Remaining stationary for extended periods, but needs to be mobile enough to navigate through work areas.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with fellow colleagues.

Target Annual Pay Rate: $60,000 - $75,000 + Robust Benefits.
