Teacher of Science Harrogate

About the role:

justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science to join a supportive secondary school in Harrogate on a long-term supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Science teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire curiosity, and support pupils to achieve their full potential across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The successful candidate will become part of a welcoming Science department and will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. A specialism in any Science discipline will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the school’s curriculum and expectations.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and achievement.
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science within UK secondary schools.
• Strong subject knowledge across Science, with a Biology, Chemistry or Physics specialism welcomed.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A flexible, proactive and professional approach to long-term supply teaching
