About the Role
<p>My client in East London is looking for an experienced and motivated RVN to step into a Head Nurse role at a busy 24-hour hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a large and dynamic nursing team, shape clinical standards, and drive operational excellence.</p>
<p>As Head Nurse, you’ll work closely with senior leadership to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursing department. This is a predominantly administrative and leadership-focused role (approx. 75%), with some hands-on clinical work (approx. 25%).</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Lead and support a team of RVNs, SVNs, and VCAs across multiple departments</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Set and uphold high clinical standards</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Oversee training, development, and performance reviews</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Manage rotas, recruitment, and daily staffing</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Contribute to a smooth patient journey throughout the hospital</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p>Leadership training is provided, and you’ll be supported by two Deputy Head Nurses and a strong senior nursing team.</p>

<p>A proactive RVN with hospital or referral experience</p>
</li>

<p>Strong leadership skills or a passion to develop them</p>

<p>Confident in team management and clinical standards</p>

</ul>
<p><strong>What they Offer:</strong></p>
<ul>

<p>Salary: £40,000–£44,000 (DOE)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Full-time hours, no weekends (1:5 on-call rotation – no attendance required)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>6.6 weeks annual leave (incl. bank holidays)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>CPD budget + up to 2 paid CPD days</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Paid lunch breaks</p>
