GCP CloudOps Engineer£40,000 – £73,000 + Bonus Manchester | Hybrid Hiring across multiple levels (mid, senior & lead)We’re hiring CloudOps engineers to help run and improve large-scale Google Cloud environments used by enterprise customers.This is a hands-on operations and engineering role focused on reliability, automation, supportability, and continuous improvement across cloud platforms. You’ll work closely with infrastructure, platform, and development teams to keep systems stable, secure, and scalable.We’re open to different levels of experience, so whether you’re already leading cloud operations or you’re looking to step into a more senior role, we’d like to hear from you.What you’ll be doingManaging day-to-day operations across GCP environmentsMonitoring cloud platforms and responding to incidents, alerts, and service issuesTroubleshooting infrastructure, networking, and application-related problemsImproving platform reliability through automation and operational improvementsWriting scripts and tooling to remove manual processes and improve efficiencySupporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesWorking with developers and engineering teams to improve platform performanceManaging IAM, security controls, and cloud governance standardsProducing operational documentation, runbooks, and technical guidesSupporting production environments as part of an on-call rotaSenior and lead engineers will also help mentor other team members, review technical approaches, and drive operational best practices across the wider platform team.Tech stack / experienceWe’re looking for people with experience in some of the following:Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, networking, IAM, logging/monitoringInfrastructure support within cloud or platform environmentsTerraform or infrastructure-as-code toolingPython, Bash, or similar scripting languagesCI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolingKubernetes or containerised workloadsMonitoring and observability toolingLinux administrationIncident management and root cause analysis
