<span><span>Cherry Bekaert Staffing and Recruiting is working with a Technology company in Northern Virginia that is searching for a strong Postgres SQL to support database management, data transformation processes, reporting infrastructure, test data management, data modeling, and more.</span></span><br /> <span><span>This is a permanent role and requires in-office capabilities.</span></span><br /> <br /> <span><span>Candidate will be responsible for the following:</span></span><br /> <span><span>Technology delivery and database administration experience</span></span><br /> <span><span>Continuously improving  data architecture</span></span><br /> <span><span>Providing Data support to teams across the organization</span></span><br /> <span><span>Providing operational database support and modernize data warehouse/reporting solution</span></span><br /> <span><span>Responsibility for Data Warehousing, Data Services, Big Data and Data Science. The selected candidate will be able to understand all components of data architecture (physical/logical replication, monitoring, provisioning, performance tuning at both SQL/system levels, etc.).</span></span><br /> <span><span>Support for production database management, data transformation processes, reporting infrastructure, test data management, and data modeling</span></span><br /> <span><span>Technology delivery and database administration</span></span><br /> <span><span> Responsibility for Data support to teams across the company. </span></span><br /> <span><span>Responsive database operational support and modernize data warehouse and reporting solutions. You will be part of a team with cross-divisional responsibility for Data Warehousing, Data Self Services, Big Data and Data Science</span></span><br /> <span><span>Candidate is expected to be able to fully understand all components of data architecture (physical/logical replication, monitoring, provisioning, performance tuning at both SQL/system levels, etc.).</span></span><br /> <br /> <span><span> </span></span><br /> <span><span>The candidate should have the following experience:</span></span><br /> <span><span>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline</span></span><br /> <span><span>4+ years’ experience with database administration ( operation, administration (patching, backup/restore, replication), and SQL performance tuning )</span></span><br /> <span><span>Strong understanding of how database internals function (Write-Ahead Logging, Point-in-time recovery, database optimizers, query planning and optimization, etc.)</span></span><br /> <span><span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></span><br /> <span><span>Experience using JIRA and/or Confluence</span></span><br /> <span><span>Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)</span></span><br /> <span><span>Up to date with latest developments in database technology (PostgreSQL ideally)</span></span><br /> <span><span>Experience building ETL Pipelines</span></span><br /> <span><span>Experience with data obfuscation (masking)</span></span><br /> <span><span>Experience migrating data solutions from on-premises servers to Cloud</span></span><br /> <span><span>Experience using Python and/or R</span></span><br /> <span><span>Familiarity with Ansible and Terraform</span></span><br /> <br /> IND4
