Are you passionate about education and empowering others through learning? As a Literacy Instructor, you'll help individuals build the skills they need to succeed by delivering engaging instruction in literacy, workforce readiness, English language learning, citizenship preparation, and digital literacy. Your work will directly support lifelong learning while making a meaningful impact within the community.
• Facilitate engaging classroom instruction and educational workshops across a variety of literacy programs
• Develop lesson plans, curriculum materials, instructional guides, and other learning resources that support participant success
• Track attendance, maintain program documentation, evaluate learner progress, and compile program statistics and reports
• Partner with library leadership and community organizations to coordinate educational programming that meets community needs
• Provide exceptional customer service while supporting learners and maintaining classroom materials and instructional resources
• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Adult Learning, Computer Science/Technology, or a related field; OR six (6) years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience teaching, training, facilitating, or delivering educational programs to diverse audiences
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office or comparable software
• Passion for education, literacy, and community engagement
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities
• Experience tracking program outcomes, participation metrics, and educational performance data
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
