<p>AA Euro Group are seeking an experienced Health &amp; Safety Advisor to join a major Energy from Waste (EfW) construction project in Essex. This is a high-profile, technically complex build involving heavy civils, structural steel, mechanical &amp; electrical installation, and commissioning phases.</p> <p>The successful candidate will play a key role in driving a positive safety culture, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation, and supporting site teams in delivering the project safely and efficiently.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support the implementation of the project H&amp;S management plan</li> <li>Ensure compliance with:</li> <li>oCDM Regulations 2015</li> <li>oUK Health &amp; Safety legislation</li> <li>oCompany policies and procedures</li> <li>Conduct regular:</li> <li>oSite inspections and audits</li> <li>oSafety walks and behavioural observations</li> <li>Assist with and review:</li> <li>oRAMS (Risk Assessments &amp; Method Statements)</li> <li>oPermit-to-work systems</li> <li>Monitor high-risk activities including:</li> <li>oLifting operations</li> <li>oWorking at height</li> <li>oConfined spaces</li> <li>oHot works</li> <li>Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts:</li> <li>oIdentify root causes</li> <li>oImplement corrective actions</li> <li>Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings</li> <li>Liaise with:</li> <li>oSubcontractors</li> <li>oSite management</li> <li>oClient H&amp;S representatives</li> <li>Maintain accurate H&amp;S documentation and records</li> <li>Promote a proactive safety-first culture across all teams</li> </ul> <p>Key Requirements<br />Essential</p> <ul> <li>NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)</li> <li>Previous experience in a construction H&amp;S role</li> <li>Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015</li> <li>Experience working on large-scale construction or industrial projects</li> <li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills</li> <li>Ability to challenge unsafe behaviours confidently</li> </ul> <p>Desirable</p> <ul> <li>Energy from Waste projects</li> <li>Power generation / heavy industrial builds</li> <li>Data centres or similar complex environments</li> <li>NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma</li> <li>Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH / GradIOSH)</li> <li>Experience with principal contractors or tier 1 contractors</li> </ul> <p></p>
