London Metropolitan University is based in the north and east of London. The University has an excellent record in teaching and applied research.

We pay our staff 52 weeks full pay if they take maternity or adoption leave and have been with us for 26 weeks at the qualifying date.

University AccessAble GuidesLondon Metropolitan University has partnered with AccessAble in order to produce a range of campus access guides and maps which are available to both current and prospective staff, students and visitors. Guides are available for both our Holloway Road and Aldgate sites.
These fully-accessible guides aim to assist you to familiarise yourself with our campus, plan your route around each of our sites and find accessible ways to get to all of our facilities. Each guide below provides key information on the provisions available in each area of the university, routes on how to get there and both written and visual instructions (including 360 degree maps) for you to follow. All guides can be accessed by phone, tablet and computer.
Should you require bespoke arrangements not covered by the guides or have any queries then please contact your line manager or the Staff DisAbility Network.
Once you have submitted your application online you will receive an automatic email acknowledgement.
Successful applicants will be notified by email of the interview arrangements as soon as possible after the closing date.
Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email that they have not been selected for interview.
The shortlisting process is normally completed within four weeks of the closing date for applications.
Conditions of appointmentAll appointments made to the University are subject to the receipt of references satisfactory to the University; proof of identity and right to work within the UK; proof of earnings and qualifications; continuing fitness to work; and a period of probation.

ResidencyWe expect our staff to be able to reach their place of work by good travel networks and, if working away from their normal place of work, to be contactable and readily available at appropriate times.
For employees residing within a 50-mile radius of their normal place of work, this is unlikely to pose a difficulty.
