This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader looking to make a genuine impact within a stable and expanding business.   Warehouse Manager – Details Full operational ownership of warehouse activities Hands-on leadership role managing a close-knit team Opportunity to improve processes and operational efficiency Work within established BRCGS and FSC quality management systems Direct interaction with senior leadership and decision-making input Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing organisation Key role influencing safety culture and operational performance   Warehouse Manager – Responsibilities Manage daily warehouse operations including receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of goods Ensure customer demand and delivery deadlines are consistently achieved Maintain accurate stock control through regular stock counts and effective use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Optimise warehouse layout, storage utilisation and workflow efficiency Supervise, motivate and develop warehouse staff to achieve operational targets Manage staffing levels including rotas, holidays, absences and performance reviews Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and product safety standards Maintain a clean, organised and secure warehouse environment Coordinate effectively with transport providers and suppliers Oversee maintenance and safe operation of warehouse equipment and company fleet Support and promote a strong product safety culture in collaboration with the Compliance Manager Establish, follow and enforce safety procedures in line with legal requirements Attend weekly and monthly senior management meetings Deliver regular toolbox talks to warehouse employees Operate warehouse activities in line with BRCGS and FSC quality systems Create, review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required   Warehouse Manager – What We’re Looking For Minimum 7 years’ experience in warehouse management Strong background within logistics and warehouse operations Proven experience leading and motivating warehouse teams Hands-on management style with strong problem-solving capability Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines Data entry and data processing experience Knowledge of BRCGS and/or FSC standards desirable Forklift licences preferred (Pivot and Counterbalance) High attention to detail with strong organisational skills Positive, flexible attitude with a strong customer service focus   What type of Warehouse Manager will succeed in this role?
