About the Role

<b>Reports to:</b> Executive Director</span></span></span><br />
<span><span><span>Lead the finance function for a collaborative, values-centered nonprofit with a $20M+ annual budget. As Director of Finance, you’ll oversee accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning to ensure fiscal responsibility and support the organization’s mission.</span></span></span><br />
<span><span><span><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span><span>Oversee all finance and accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and nonprofit standards</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>Lead annual audits and manage cash flow projections</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>Present financial insights to leadership and board members</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>Supervise and mentor the finance team</span></span></span></span></li>
</ul>
<span><span><span><b>Qualifications:</b></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span><span>Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>7–10+ years of progressive financial management experience, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and nonprofit compliance</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>Advanced Excel and financial systems experience</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><span>Excellent communication and board presentation skills</span></span></span></span></li>
