CNC Operator / Programmer – Manual Turner (Training into Leak Sealing Technician) Location: Chesterfield (within 15–20 mile radius) Salary: Up to £17.00 per hour + Site Bonus + Benefits (once trained) Ambitions Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist engineering company based in Chesterfield. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator / Manual Turner to join a highly skilled team and train into an Online Leak Sealing Technician —a niche and in-demand role within the industry. The Role You will initially utilise your machining experience while receiving full training in live leak sealing techniques. The role will involve both workshop and on-site work across the UK. Key responsibilities include: Working as part of a team, supporting technicians on-site Training and developing into an Online Leak Sealing Technician Carrying out machining tasks and assisting with live steam/chemical leak repairs (full training provided) Travelling nationwide to customer sites including power stations and chemical plants Following strict health & safety procedures in high-risk environments Completing job-related paperwork accurately Maintaining company tools, equipment, and vehicles Representing the company professionally when dealing with clients ️ Requirements To be considered for this role, you should have: Proven experience in CNC and manual turning (essential) Experience working with Prototrak controls (XYZ machines) Experience with lathes, milling machines, and borers (vertical/horizontal) A background in bespoke or one-off machining work A valid UK driving licence Minimum GCSE-level education A willingness to work in physically demanding environments (e.g. heat, confined spaces, working at height – training provided) Flexibility to travel nationwide, including occasional overnight stays (expenses covered) What’s in it for you?
