About the Role
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Network Architect/SME in Enterprise Level Facilities Security and Industrial Control Systems and Networks for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position is located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.
Responsibilities
The SME role’s responsibilities include:
Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlog
Lead the transition of user accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
Provide subject matter expertise in Enterprise-level facilities security
Provide subject matter expertise in Enterprise-level industrial control systems networks (i.e., Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) networks)
The Network Architecture role's responsibilities include:
Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future state architecture objectives
Software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
Team with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirements
Maintain technical architecture documentation
Troubleshooting and problem resolution
Change management
Support resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
Strategic Transformative planning for network architecture services
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
CCIE Certification: Written and practical
Within each of the Cisco Certifications, the following specializations are needed and listed in order of importance: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center and Wireless
Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
