About the role:

A lively secondary school in Batley is seeking a passionate and skilled Music Teacher to join its dynamic arts department from September 2026 until December 2026 as minimum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach music to students aged 11–16, adapting lessons to suit a range of abilities
• Organise and lead music clubs, concerts, and school productions
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s creative arts provision
• Encourage student participation and foster a lifelong appreciation of music

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and performance ability
• Has experience teaching music in a secondary school setting
• Shows commitment to inclusive education and student development
• Two school based references
