The Role:

Oxfam GB is looking for Data Protection Manager (Maternity Cover) to manage the data protection team and activities across the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing critical processes to ensure that our large and complex organisation protects Data Subjects and follows GDPR. We have large quantities of personal data both for fundraising and supporting programme participants, and you must ensure we handle this respectfully and legally.

This is a 12 month fixed-term post.

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Strong experience and knowledge of data protection law and ICO expectations
  • Commitment to working with the Head of Information Security & Data Protection, and our Data Protection Officer to set goals and direction for the Privacy team
  • Strong communication skills
