Cyber Security Director

Associate Director - Cyber Security Location: Oxfordshire Contract Type: Day Rate Contract Overview We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Cyber Security to lead and enhance cyber security operations for my client. This is a hands on leadership role responsible for driving cyber strategy, managing security operations, and improving security across a hybrid Azure, AWS, and on-premise environment. Key Responsibilities Lead cyber security strategy and day-to-day security operations Design and implement security architecture across Azure, AWS and on-prem environments Own SIEM, SOAR, EDR and vulnerability management platforms Manage external SOC providers and oversee incident response Drive cyber governance, risk management and compliance initiatives Develop security policies, standards and awareness programmes Lead security investigations, threat detection and response Mentor internal security engineers and provide technical leadership Key Skills & Experience Proven experience in a senior Cyber Security leadership role Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS and hybrid infrastructure security Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR and vulnerability management Experience managing SOC providers and security vendors Strong understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR and Cyber Essentials Windows and Linux security hardening experience CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNP Security or equivalent certification preferred GCS is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
