Connect Appointments is recruiting Picker Packers to join an established manufacturing business based in Dunfermline.
Our client operates a busy production and distribution facility, offering a choice of two shift patterns. But candidates must be prepared for a physically demanding role with heavy lifting and up to 40,000 steps per shift.
What’s on offer?
- Ongoing temporary position
- Choice of two shifts:
- Option 1: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm
- Option 2: Monday to Thursday, 10:30am to 9pm
- £13.50 per hour – paid weekly
As a Picker Packer, your duties will include:
- Locating and picking correct goods accurately in line with customer orders
- Inspecting goods for damage or faults before packing
- Packing orders using appropriate industrial packaging materials including boxes, bubble wrap and pallets
- Loading packaged goods into containers for shipping
- Completing all relevant paperwork accurately
To be considered as a Picker Packer, you will need:
- Good physical fitness and strength – this is an essential requirement given the demands of the role
- Previous warehouse experience with handheld scanners is advantageous though not essential
- Strong attention to detail and a reliable, team-focused approach to work
