<p><strong>About the Company</strong></p>
<p>Our client is a specialist manufacturer of precision components for military vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, and other large-scale commercial vehicles. The business operates a modern, high-tech facility with a strong focus on engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and investment in its people and technology.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of a Production Engineer</strong></p>
<p>• Plan, coordinate and improve all CNC milling operations in line with production goals<br />
• Develop and optimise CNC milling programmes for quality and efficiency<br />
• Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters to maximise productivity<br />
• Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects<br />
• Provide training and mentoring to CNC machinists and operators<br />
• Troubleshoot milling-related issues and implement corrective actions<br />
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO/IATF standards</p>
<p><strong>Key Skills of a Production Engineer</strong></p>
<p>• Experience in production engineering, specifically within HAAS (or similar) CNC milling environments<br />
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming and CAD/CAM (e.g., EdgeCAM, Fusion 360)<br />
• Ability to analyse tooling and cycle time data to improve throughput<br />
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies<br />
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills<br />
• Recognised qualification, apprenticeship, or timeserved experience</p>
