<p><strong>Job Title</strong><br /> Production Engineer 6853</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong><br /> Coventry, CV6</p> <p><strong>Hours:</strong><br /> Monday &#8211; Friday</p> <p><strong>Salary:</strong><br /> Up to &pound;45,000 per year + overtime</p> <p><strong>About the Company</strong></p> <p>Our client is a specialist manufacturer of precision components for military vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, and other large-scale commercial vehicles. The business operates a modern, high-tech facility with a strong focus on engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and investment in its people and technology.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities of a Production Engineer</strong></p> <p>&bull; Plan, coordinate and improve all CNC milling operations in line with production goals<br /> &bull; Develop and optimise CNC milling programmes for quality and efficiency<br /> &bull; Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters to maximise productivity<br /> &bull; Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects<br /> &bull; Provide training and mentoring to CNC machinists and operators<br /> &bull; Troubleshoot milling-related issues and implement corrective actions<br /> &bull; Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO/IATF standards</p> <p><strong>Key Skills of a Production Engineer</strong></p> <p>&bull; Experience in production engineering, specifically within HAAS (or similar) CNC milling environments<br /> &bull; Strong knowledge of CNC programming and CAD/CAM (e.g., EdgeCAM, Fusion 360)<br /> &bull; Ability to analyse tooling and cycle time data to improve throughput<br /> &bull; Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies<br /> &bull; Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills<br /> &bull; Recognised qualification, apprenticeship, or timeserved experience</p> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>25 days&rsquo; holiday plus bank holidays</li> <li>Company pension with 3% employer contribution</li> <li>Medicash healthcare plan after probation</li> <li>Death in service benefit (2x salary)</li> <li>Early finish every Friday</li> <li>External training and development opportunities</li> <li>High staff retention and long-term job security</li> </ul> <p>To be considered for this role, please email your CV to max.gomer@first-base.co.uk or call Max Gomer on 01453 755330.</p> <p><strong>REFER A FRIEND:&nbsp;</strong>If you have a colleague or friend who may be interested in one of our roles, refer them to us today.
