Residential Care Worker - Preston

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a Residential Care Worker to join a vibrant children’s care home in the Preston area to cover on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

The home provides a nurturing, stable and therapeutic environment for children with complex social and emotional needs, focusing on building strong relationships, developing life skills, and creating opportunities for positive futures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting children with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
• Promoting independence and life skills within a safe and caring residential setting
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver individual care plans

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant qualifications or experience within residential childcare
• Proven experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and trauma‑informed approaches
• A full UK driving licence (essential)
