A-Line Staffing is now hiring Pharmacy Technician in Warren, MI. The Pharmacy Technician would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Pharmacy Technician Compensation
  • The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour.
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

 

Pharmacy Technician Highlights
  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
  • The required availability for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM with rotating weekends.

 

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
  • Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery
  • Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels
  • Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments, etc.)
  • Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate prescription labels
  • Participate in inventory management, including checking stock and removing expired medications
  • Process returned medications according to pharmacy protoco
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new pharmacy staff
  • Work in specialized pharmacy areas including Controlled Drugs/Narcotics Room
  • Operate automated machines used to prepack medications
  • Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment as needed
  • Service facility-based dispensing machines such as RxNow
  • Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned

 

Pharmacy Technician Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license as required by the state
  • Previous pharmacy experience require
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to operate a computer and recognize/identify medications accurately
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Effective oral communication and ability to work in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.

 

Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications
  • Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred
  • Experience with compounding, IV preparation, or medication packaging preferred
