About the Role
<p>I’m partnered exclusively with a high-growth, product-led tech business on their search for a Cloud Security Engineer, who will be landing in a global environment backed by significant private investment, serving millions of users worldwide.</p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> London (Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite)</p>
<p><strong>Salary:</strong> £120k + benefits</p>
<p>You’ll be part of building AI-driven, privacy-first platforms that handle highly sensitive user data. This is a key hire within a central platform engineering function, focused on embedding security into the foundations of a modern cloud-native environment.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Embedding security-by-design across cloud infrastructure, engineering platforms, and developer tooling</li>
<li>Driving security-as-code across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and container environments</li>
<li>Owning and enhancing cloud security posture across AWS (e.g. threat detection, vulnerability management, patching)</li>
<li>Securing container ecosystems – image hardening, signing, verification, and policy enforcement</li>
<li>Implementing and maintaining policy-as-code frameworks to enforce security standards at scale</li>
<li>Building security observability and metrics to provide insight into risk and performance</li>
<li>Supporting privacy-first architecture for large-scale, sensitive user data environments</li>
<li>Collaborating cross-functionally to drive security culture, standards, and best practice</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>You must have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in Cloud Security / Security Engineering / Infrastructure Security roles</li>
<li>Strong expertise in AWS security services and cloud-native security principles</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)</li>
<li>Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and container security (image hardening, runtime controls, admission policies)</li>
<li>Experience implementing identity and access management (SSO, OAuth, SAML, JWT)</li>
<li>Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, etc.)</li>
<li>Understanding of network security and secure architecture principles</li>
<li>Experience embedding security into SDLC / DevSecOps environments</li>
</ul>
